1909 Alaska-Yukon Pacific Expo So-Called Dollar, HK-359. AGS graded MS-64 Red. Bronze 36 mm. Rarity 5. Almost forgotten now, more than a century later, the purpose of the exposition was "To prove to. world. enormous value of Alaska to United States and. greatness of its entry port, Seattle"; to exhibit ". development, resources, products and advantages" of State of Washington. The expo was situated on almost 200 acres in northeast Seattle, bordering Lakes Union and Washington; grounds now part of University of Washington campus, with attendance from June 1 to Oct. 16, 1909 being 3,750,000; about 2,000,000 of whom paid.
